Takipsilim

Mga Kuwentong Mitolohiya sa Pilipinas

Available at 8Letters Bookstore

Synopsis for "Going Home"

Charm is sitting under a waiting shed after a school day’s work. It is raining, and with nothing else to do, she can’t help but think about her recent breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Michael. She’s in the middle of her reverie when a woman, who has been sitting with her under the shed, opens a conversation – about a myth Charm has known since her childhood. From there, Charm will realize that even the deities faced the same question – can love really conquer all?

“Going Home” is a modern take on the Visayan myth about Alunsina and Tungkung Langit and why there is rain and thunder.

Note: “Going Home” has been renamed to “A Tale of Rain and Thunder” for my standalone short story.
